Definition of Terms

“Website” means the Alpine Publishing Studios website and all associated pages, content, features, and online materials.

“Customer,” “Client,” “You,” or “Your” means the individual or entity purchasing, requesting, or using services from Alpine Publishing Studios.

“Company,” “We,” “Us,” or “Our” means Alpine Publishing Studios.

“Services” means the publishing-related services offered by Alpine Publishing Studios, which may include writing, ghostwriting, editing, proofreading, book formatting, cover design, publishing support, marketing, author branding, and other services described on our website or in a project agreement.

“Order” means a request submitted by a customer to purchase or initiate services from Alpine Publishing Studios.

“Project” means the specific book, manuscript, publishing assignment, design project, marketing project, or other work covered by an Order, proposal, invoice, or service agreement.

Our Services

Alpine Publishing Studios provides professional publishing support based on the scope of services selected by the customer.

The specific services, deliverables, timelines, pricing, revisions, and other project requirements may be defined in the applicable proposal, invoice, service agreement, or written communication between Alpine Publishing Studios and the customer.

By placing an Order or making a payment, you authorize Alpine Publishing Studios to begin the agreed-upon work.

Unless otherwise stated in writing, services are provided according to the project scope agreed upon between the Company and the customer.

Additional services or work outside the original project scope may require additional fees and approval before work begins.

Customer Responsibilities

To help us complete your project effectively, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete project information.

  • Provide necessary manuscripts, materials, images, references, or other content required for the project.

  • Provide feedback and approvals within a reasonable timeframe.

  • Review submitted work and communicate requested revisions clearly.

  • Ensure that materials supplied by you do not knowingly infringe another person’s copyright, trademark, privacy, or other legal rights.

  • Make required payments according to the agreed payment schedule.

Delays caused by missing information, delayed feedback, unavailable materials, or other circumstances within the customer’s control may affect the estimated project timeline.

Payments and Orders

Payment requirements will be communicated before or at the time an Order is accepted.

Depending on the service, Alpine Publishing Studios may require a deposit, partial payment, or full payment before work begins.

An Order may not be considered confirmed until the required payment has been received and the project has been accepted by Alpine Publishing Studios.

Prices and payment terms may vary depending on the service, project scope, customization, and requirements.

Any additional work outside the agreed scope may be quoted separately.

Revisions and Approvals

Revision policies may vary depending on the service purchased and the project agreement.

Where revisions are included, they are intended to bring the deliverable into alignment with the agreed project requirements.

Requests that substantially change the original project scope, creative direction, concept, or requirements may be treated as additional work and may result in additional charges.

Once a customer provides final approval of a deliverable, additional changes may be subject to additional fees.

Customers are responsible for carefully reviewing final materials before providing approval.

Refund Policy

Alpine Publishing Studios understands that customers may occasionally have concerns regarding a service or project. Refund eligibility depends on the service purchased, the stage of the project, the work already completed, and the terms agreed upon for that specific project.

Unless otherwise stated in a written agreement, refunds are not automatically available simply because a customer changes their mind after work has begun.

A refund request may be considered when:

  • The requested service has not materially been started.

  • Alpine Publishing Studios is unable to provide the agreed service.

  • The delivered work materially fails to meet documented project requirements and reasonable opportunities to correct the issue have been exhausted.

  • A refund is otherwise required by applicable law or expressly provided for in the applicable service agreement.

Refunds may not be available when:

  • The customer has approved the work or deliverables.

  • The customer has requested substantial changes outside the original project scope.

  • The customer has received and used the agreed deliverables.

  • The project has been delayed because of missing information, materials, feedback, or approvals from the customer.

  • The customer becomes unresponsive for an extended period without prior notice.

  • The customer places the project on hold after work has begun.

  • The customer changes their mind after substantial work has been completed.

  • The customer requests cancellation for reasons unrelated to a failure to provide the agreed service.

  • The project has been substantially completed according to the agreed scope.

Any refund will be evaluated based on the circumstances of the individual project and the applicable service agreement.

Incompetent or Unsatisfactory Delivery

If you believe a deliverable does not meet the documented project requirements, you should contact Alpine Publishing Studios promptly and explain the specific issue.

Where applicable, we will make reasonable efforts to correct work that does not conform to the agreed scope.

Depending on the service, this may include revisions, corrections, reassignment of work, or other reasonable remedies.

A refund will generally be considered only after reasonable opportunities to resolve a documented service issue have been exhausted, subject to the applicable project agreement and law.

Late Delivery

Alpine Publishing Studios makes reasonable efforts to meet agreed or estimated delivery timelines.

Project timelines may depend on several factors, including the scope of work, customer feedback, approvals, availability of required materials, revisions, third-party platforms, and other circumstances outside our control.

A delay caused by missing customer information, delayed feedback, requested changes, third-party services, technical issues, or circumstances beyond Alpine Publishing Studios’ reasonable control will not automatically constitute a failure to perform.

If Alpine Publishing Studios is responsible for a material delay, we will work with the customer to determine an appropriate resolution based on the circumstances and applicable agreement.

Refund Request Timeframe

Unless a different timeframe is specified in a written service agreement or required by applicable law, customers should submit refund requests as soon as reasonably possible after identifying the issue.

Where a specific refund deadline applies to a service, that deadline will be communicated in the applicable agreement, proposal, invoice, or refund policy.

Intellectual Property and Customer Materials

Customers remain responsible for ensuring that materials they provide to Alpine Publishing Studios may legally be used for the requested project.

This includes manuscripts, photographs, illustrations, logos, trademarks, references, and other content supplied by the customer.

You represent that you have the necessary rights or permissions to provide such materials to us.

Ownership and licensing of completed deliverables will depend on the service purchased and the terms stated in the applicable project agreement.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment for a service does not automatically transfer ownership of Alpine Publishing Studios’ pre-existing materials, templates, processes, tools, or proprietary resources.

Publishing Platforms and Third-Party Services

Alpine Publishing Studios may assist customers with publishing or distribution through third-party platforms such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Apple Books, Google Play Books, Kobo, Lulu, IngramSpark, or other platforms.

Third-party platforms have their own terms, policies, approval requirements, fees, processing times, and content guidelines.

Alpine Publishing Studios does not control third-party platforms and cannot guarantee that a third party will approve, list, distribute, promote, or maintain a particular book or account.

Customers are responsible for complying with the applicable policies and requirements of third-party platforms where relevant.

Marketing and Results

Where marketing or promotional services are purchased, Alpine Publishing Studios will provide the agreed services according to the applicable project scope.

Marketing outcomes can depend on numerous factors outside our control, including market conditions, audience response, platform algorithms, advertising costs, competition, book quality, pricing, author participation, and third-party platform policies.

Accordingly, Alpine Publishing Studios does not guarantee a specific number of sales, downloads, reviews, rankings, followers, revenue, or other marketing results unless expressly stated in a written agreement.

Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, publishing platforms, payment providers, or other external services.

These third-party websites operate independently and may have their own terms, policies, and privacy practices.

Alpine Publishing Studios is not responsible for the content, availability, security, or practices of third-party websites.

You agree not to use our website:

  • For unlawful or fraudulent purposes.

  • To interfere with the operation or security of the website.

  • To attempt unauthorized access to restricted areas or systems.

  • To upload malicious code or harmful materials.

  • To copy, reproduce, or misuse website content without appropriate authorization.

  • In a manner that violates applicable laws or regulations.

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the website where we reasonably believe these Terms & Conditions have been violated.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Alpine Publishing Studios will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from the use of our website or services.

Our responsibility for a particular service will generally be limited to the remedies expressly provided in the applicable service agreement and, where permitted by law, the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Changes to These Terms

Alpine Publishing Studios may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our services, business practices, website, or applicable legal requirements.

When changes are made, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised Last Updated date.

Your continued use of the website or purchase of services after updated terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions will be governed by and interpreted according to the applicable laws governing Alpine Publishing Studios and the applicable jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute will be handled in accordance with the applicable agreement between Alpine Publishing Studios and the customer and applicable law.
